Bombs Into You – Live from the Banana Stand will be released in its entirety on October 18th. In the meantime, please enjoy this preview track.
Bombs Into You came across our radar after some friends suggested the band would be perform well live in the space. You see, as we’ve gotten better at recording, we’ve been able to record more live electronicly produced sounds, that at one time in our early career was usually limited to sticking a microphone in front of a speaker.
Being a band that produces both live instrument and live electronic music, Bombs Into You was a great way for us to capture music like that of Vanimal and other bands with a vast array of equipment. The single we’ve chosen for the album, “Save You,” showcases the band’s diverse talents at creating a variety of layers in their music, all the more impressive with only three members in the group.
Recorded before Tiger House took to the stage for second time at The Banana Stand, it was great to have Bombs Into You come to record. We hope you’ll give the album a listen and donate a few dollars if you enjoy the tunes. Bombs Into You – Live from the Banana Stand was recorded before a live audience on March 26th, 2011 at the Banana Stand in Portland, Oregon. The album was mixed and mastered by Alex Arrowsmith. Brian David Smith handled design and layout for album art, which includes original photography from various ‘Standers and the original show poster, also by Brian. The Banana Stand would like to thank Bombs Into You (Jared, Gage, and Kevin), all who participated in this album’s creation and anyone that has helped us out along the way.
