Unpeeled: Old Grape God – “Permanent Tournament”

Be sure to check out the studio version’s of songs from this Unpeeled session in Grape God’s latest tape release, Trøntønømø Bay!

“I’m feeling kinda light,” Old Grape God repeats over a bouncy, reggae-like bass line to kick off this Unpeeled.

Grape God rhymes about riding out a heavy life in “Permanent Tournament,” and his Time Travelers follow him into the groove with fiery trumpet and flute solos. As the instrumentalists fashion this loose groove into a light harmony, Grape God delves into his time-traveling ability to change his past and his reluctant view of the day ahead. Check it out!
