It's always a good time when Tiger House stops by the 'Stand. The band's pre-Doom-Pop-EP line-up (which included Alex Arrowsmith and Ky Fifer, now of Alex Arrowsmith and his Pugs) had recorded at the 'Stand before at the epic January 23rd 2010 event, which generated an excellent Arrowsmith-mixed live album.
We haven't been able to offer many bands return engagements at the 'Stand, but Tiger House was a the top of our list -- largely because they're a much different band now. After Arrowsmith's and Fifer's departures, TiHo mainstays Bill Scharmann and Carl Simpson recruited bassist George Moore and drummer Dustin Mills to form a band that remains Tiger House, but a different kind of Tiger House. An incredibly rad kind of Tiger House.
We were also extremely pumped to welcome Bombs Into You to the 'Stand, having become fans after being hooked up with a copy of their "Metaphorically Yours [Volume 2]." Lead singer and keyboardist Jared Jensen, Guitarist Gage Choat and drummer Kevin Woodruff delivered tight, energetic live performances that were absolutely worthy of documentation.
We thank both bands for allowing us to document their live sound. Keep an eye on our website for live albums of the March 26th performances which should be out early next year.
