May 28th was an evening filled with rock and abandon.
This event almost wasn't an event. Soon after confirming Blast Majesty, we got word from Leif Anders that Orca Team had gone on hiatus. Bummer. So we asked his other band, Besties, to come in instead. Soon after, we got word from Leif that Besties had gone on hiatus as well. Brutal. However: Chad Majesty from The Blast Majesty put us in touch with Talkative, a rad three-piece from Eugene, and Leif sent The Polyps (featuring Raf Spielman and Lawton Browning from The Woolen Men and Chris Cantino from Archers). The night was saved. We owe big, big thanks to Chad, Leif, The Polyps and Talkative for helping us put this evening together, especially given such short notice. You dudes rule.
We can't wait until we can offer these sets to you to download. All three bands delivered terrific performances. It'll take us a bit of time to get the recordings turned around, but in the meantime we've got a ton of photos and maybe even some video on the way. Keep an eye on this space for more from this show.
