Video: Modern Kin – “Big Enough to Cook”

Instead of telling you how great we think this video is, we’ll let someone else do it. Portland Mercury music editor Ned Lannamann said it’s “a yowling bluesy bruiser complete with upright bass and tin can percussion. This one’s super raw and real; you’ll feel like you’re down in the basement with ’em.” We’ll take it.

“Big Enough to Cook” was performed by Modern Kin (modernkin.bandcamp.com) and was recorded before a live audience April 5th, 2014 at Banana Stand in Portland, Oregon. The video features footage from camera operators Tyler Bertram, Robbin Goss, Nick Gattman, and Veronica Rose and was directed and edited by Michael McInerney. Audio for this video was recorded by Tim Shrout, mixed by Tim Shrout and Drew Grow, and mastered by Chris Vita.
